Maxed press out at Ten tons didnt shift so wound the saftey valve closed and prayed finaly cam apart at 13.5 tons
Other picture is we set 1 of them up on lathe had to turn dia back a little further on 1 of the axle shafts to allow it to go back in the other side
Fitted the jig heated it up and pressed it back together

How did you get the axle tubes exact level before welding them on again? I'd think it would take some effort getting them 100% in line.
And those springs, they look insanely tall. is that a 4" lift?
But it all looks very impressive

Perhaps I should visit you someday, with a trailer for a set of G-wagon axles

I have a jig that then bolts to the case that stays in place whilst the cases are pressed and welded back into position giving a all but perfect alignment
Springs are KAP 4.5 lift they actually dislocate rom the top mount by about a inch on full droop
Sounds like an easy job then

I was just wondering, what is it you are pressing out with that long rod in the first pic with the hydraulic press?
