Thanks Lambert,
If this doesn't improve it, I can only guess its as good as its going to be.
During the back-flush process did get the impression that the flow did improve in one direction. Unfortunatly due to the lateness in the day when I started the job and time wasted initially trying to get the hoses off the matrix stack-pipes, I didn't have time to facilitate a way to catch the water coming out in order to see if there was any gack in it.
Unless I'm going anywhere in the next few days (unlikely as I have a damned - horrid cold - corona virus or something) early Friday mornig will be the proving ground.

Early in week I bought another transfer box as spare also bought full gear set for Jimny. Took a couple of nights to strip and fit all new cogs and get back together took it up with me to Scotland and today took out old transfer box and put recondition one in took me a couple of hours. These transfer boxes are identical the problem I have is to get into low four I’ve had to cut floor at the back about an inch and fold it back. It’s also a little noisy when in high range and you put it under pressure going up hill. I realise that straight cut gears are noisier but don’t understand what I could have done wrong to cause the problem with the stick hitting the floor. Could this be normal with this gear set? Any advice to this old novice would gratefully accepted
