Picked mine up from the workshop. It now has new upper and lower kingpins, new wheel bearings, new knuckle kits and sits upright at last :)

Spent an hour or so taking the seats and carpet out so I can clean it all up following this happening on Sunday

Unfortunately the carpet has ended up looking like this now and is soaked with crappy muddy water. Hopefully a hose off and left out to dry and it will be back to normal. It seems to have got in through the boot and up through the gear stick gator also so I will have to look in to this. Alternator is also knackered and I am seeing if it can be recon’d at present.

I have been thinking about leaving the carpet out as it’s not a daily driver, the wife however is using it to learn to drive in so it does need some creature comforts :P Once she has passed and can get insured on my daily drive it will be out with the carpets and some more serious modifications B)

It seems to get in mainly through the boot and on further investigation through the seal, I must not have put it back on fully after fitting my CB aerial.

Gaz, everything else was fine, including the winch and even after the alternator giving up I was able drive the rest of the day winch myself out of one more situation. It only gave out 500 yards down the road from leaving the site, a quick call to JimnyDan and he towed me home :)
