be careful as your freelander has a 2 tonne towing capacity and your jimny and trailer may be over that capacity
the standard jimny has a gross vehicle weight of 1420kg (unladen 1150kg) and a twin axle car transporter trailers start at about 450-550kg and as you have heavier axles bigger wheels & tyres winch steel bumpers etc you may be over 2000kg all up - probably worth getting the jimny weighed

Hi bud, this may be a stupid question but are you sure its the clutch? I get some terrible smells from mine but its just mud and stuff burning on the exhaust, it gets quite bad when the Cat gets hot.

On another note Im in Gateshead but have never done the Cleveland hills or North York Moors If you and Crock ever plan a trip up there I would love to tag along.

Cheers
Ian

Yeah thanks Darth. The dealer lied to me and said it had a 2.25 tonne braked capacity. Ive done some checking and yes you are right it is 2 tonnes, best be careful :S
