Has anyone got any experience of these?
Got a chance of a 2.0 5-door model for £500 and just wondering if its worth bothering with?
Would be used to some offroading plus work and back in the winter.

My boss has one and he's run it for years. If the £500 car comes with MOT and tax I'd say it's bargain and worth a punt.

I wouldnt say they are useless offroad, but i cant imagine it would be as good as my last jimny.
It doesnt have MOT or tax but thats easily sorted. Insurance might be a bit much with being a 2.0 but I will get some quotes.
Just thinking I could stick some mud boots on it and see how it goes... for £500 it cant be that bad can it?

The few posts I've seen about them on pistonheads they seem very well thought of both on and off the road.

I had one in Cyprus a few years ago.
Ok if you treat them like the old Toymota Rav4, in my opinion.
Quite cramped, nothing really remarkable.
Probably fine for peace of mind getting to from work in bad weather.
Took mine off road in Cyprus a few times, got stuck more often than the swb Pajero and and SJ and Jimny.
As I said, treat as a Ravioli4.
Just my thoughts.
Edit:
Just re-read original post.
5 door a little less cramped.
