I love my Santana Jimny soft top and have no problems with it. It is airtight and dustproof and gets plenty of attention too.

I think you guys have confirmed that although the soft top is great fun (which is one of the reasons we wanted one), if you're gonna use the back door a lot (which we are) it's a pain to do so and is worth going down the hard top route.

Thanks.

I went down the hard top route after a soft top SJ for security and warmth in winter.

I used to leave the peppers off the bottom of the door and rely on the zips and velcro and it was fine.

The warmth issue is not an issue with a Jimny as the heaters are awesome and too hot for a hard top on the highest setting! So good for a soft top I'm sure, plus hoods have come along somewhat since the simple vinyl sheet on the SJ!

For the best of both worlds though, Myers647's truck looks hard to beat though!
