Halford, that's very entertaining!!,
The worst review I ever saw was in a rather flash looking car mag I was thumbing through one day and their review was simply "Have you considered walking to work?" !!!
There seems to be a lot of snobbery about- best thing by far is to go and drive one and make your mind up, by finding this site before you buy you at least know that "you are not alone......."

Thanks alot once again for the help. You are certainly doing a good job ot talking me out of it :). I dont think I will use it off road, I just like the look of the car and like simple reliable cars I can do some jobs on myself. I have heard that the Jimny is very reliable and that is a big plus for me. As for the handling as long as it doesnt roll over when I go about a bend...

Personally I wouldnt have one for just on-road... they drive better off-road.

As a general day to day car, they arent great...

Hi mate & welcome to the forum. I bought mine just for the winter months as I have a motor bike & all so for an off road toy of which its absolutely brilliant at.
If I had the budget you have to buy a car for the road, I would go for the vitara or a toyota Rav 4 not the jimny as its rubbish on the tarmac. I do about 20 miles a day and thats enough to be honest and there not very economical compared to other cars on the market.

Thanks

James
