I have used the Saris 4x4 rack which I purchased from Wiggle (about £60) and found that the bikes were carried too low and close to the ground . I then purchased the Fiamma 4x4 rack which IMO is the best on the market. It fits on the spare wheel and has grooves for the wheels and holds the bikes higher. Both are two bike racks although you can squeeze a third on the Saris.
Only gave my Saris away the other day.

Used to have one on the 02 we had before this but found ( like many of the pics above) that the jimny is to narrow to safley carry bikes , ended up taking the front wheel off the bike to make it sit inside the confines of the jimny
In doing so i could have just put the rest of the bike in the back so stopped using the rack :S

Morning Guys
Found this old topic by Google search as I am looking to buy a bike rack for my Jimny
I have a tow bar fitted which I inherited - a Witter detachable swan neck
I am a girlie with one bike and want something that I can manoeuvre easily; that I can fit and remove easily without any help
I need some advice please - which is easier/better - a spare wheel or tow bar rack?
And can anyone recommend a make and model of rack too please?
Thanks a bunch
Jackie

hi,
I purchased a Pendle spare wheel mounted rack. Pendle Racks
The main fixing ring fixes behind the spare wheel, with the attachment through the centre of the spare wheel and stays there, then when you want to attach the rack you just slot it on fasten with a bolt and away you go. Give them a ring to check which fixing plate you need, but am sure its fitting "A".
