High Pitch Squeal was created by hathome
Hi again all - Sure this is not related BUT have just changed the kingpins bearings and thought I'd take the Jimny out for a quick road test. After about 10 mins I've got this horrendous squeal form something !! OK when not moving so I thought maybe the clutch slipping - but seems ok getting up our steep drive and when testing with the handbrake on  Is there anything obvious I should be looking for (Anything I may have done during the bearing change?) - Thanks for your help - I'd be lost without this site

Simple check:
Drive belt slip - noise is related to engine rev level, rev the engine and see if it changes.
Drive train noise - road speed related, reving engine will not make a difference but speeding up /slowing down will.
