offroading is when your not driving on a public road, byways etc are in fact roads so technically your not offroad merely off tarmac ;)

"laning" / "green laning" is driving unsurfaced roads....................byways etc.

you only need to use 4wd when you cant get anywhere in 2wd, if its dry hard packed dirt 2wd should suffice (obviously steep inclines could require 4wd).

the vid is over Alston, Cumbria/northumberland border
very harsh bumpy trails .... lovely view, but not much fun :pinch:

I tend to use 4WD whenever I'm confident that the wheels can slip in water, mud, grass or snow

+1

and i use 2wd low when the control of low box is needed but you still have high traction ;)

Since the 3rd Gen Pajeros don't have these suspension seats anymore :( , but have Full Independant Suspension.

Jimny springs are linear. That's an interesting idea with Nitrogen. I was aware they use it for race cars to keep tyre pressures consistent as the tyre warms up. I didn't know it affected the ride too!

Its not the case in all cars. When I tried it in my Wife's PT Criuser it didn't make any difference. Could be because it already has a soft suspension or because of the low sidewall tires (205/55)

My poor grasp of physics tells me if the tyre pressure is the same it shouldn't make a difference in any car. But perhaps the Jimny tyres get warmer quicker?

My physics theory says the same, but my actual feeling and the feeling of anyone else who rides with me feels the difference.
