I'm hoping they've changed a lot more besides the engine! All that power would be wasted in something that drives as badly as a Defender.

Totally agree. Why bother just buy a good car to start with. The Defender is always going to be a bit of a tractor no matter
how much money you throw at it.

Well now, that looks dope Martin. Landies do get a lot of stick. To quote Trump, there's a lot of fake press. Hehehehe
I had a short wheelbase decades (series 1 or 11, can't remember) ago and got truly peed off with it and it sent me running to Japanese 4x4s. Also despite having ally panels the steel framework was rotten like an over ripe pear.
What has shocked me is I bought a Freelander (wanting to sell it now too) not long ago, it's not half bad. I think Freelanders are sort of Honda or Nissan ish.
Don't be sorry, we all have other motors that are not Jimny.

To qualify my last comment it's not the engine conversion as such that has ruint the defender so much as the company that has done it. My previous vehicle was a 90 pickup and trust me that without a significant amount of additional work just putting an ls3 into a defender is asking for driveline failure. The thing is Khan knows his client profile and produces accordingly but I wouldn't have one given. Because I have more taste than money.
