It's always the same. I reach for the propane gas torch after months since last using it desperate to shift a nut (this time on the shock absorber) and the gas has all leaked out.  So what do I do to avoid losing the gas. How do you store your blowtorches?

Hi, if i don't intend using it for a while i disconnect the cannister and then double check by pouring some fairy liquid ,
( other brands are available !! ) and if no bubbles no leak . I have had things leak before when left attached to the gas source so always remove cannisters now,
cheers. Ian :) :)

That's what I do but they never seem to hold the gas.

Think I've had the gas screwed onto mine for over 5 yrs with no problems , getting a bit low now.
Got a few partially used cans that havent leaked either,...... luck of the draw?

You could try a drop of silicone oil on the seals
