Hi peeps long shot but stranger things happen :unsure:

have bought my Mother a Samsung S4 mini but can't get data transfer between Pc(win7) or laptop(vista) and phone .... plug in and nothing happens

anyone aware of any issues as she (mother) is doing my head in (and she's 50 miles away :pinch: )

I've an S3 mini and never had any issues on XP or vista

I have one and when you connect it via a usb cable it comes up on My Computer but not in one of the drives but separately underneath.

From memory of my Samsung when you connect the phone to the PC it's asks on the phone is you want to sync or just to connect like an external hard drive and like zook123 said if you go to the Samsung support page you can download the appropriate version.

Thanks guys, the samsung software has been installed but the phone still isn't visible

Think I've figured out what the problem might be and I'll pop up next week.

I'll need to go into developer mode and enable usb debugging, then see how to proceed, it may simply fetch the correct driver update.
