Here is the Oz Channels and you'll note very few restrictions.

Of course, if you have the CB set to scan you should pick up more conversations but don't be afraid to initiate calls yourself.

I caravan a lot so I mostly use Ch 18.

Our 4wd group uses Ch 10, as do most CB'ers.

Lots of truckers on Ch 21

I did call out a few times on 19 but nothing. Our 4x4 club uses channel 20 or 21, or both if running two groups.

I'm in the north east and high up and amazed at how far I can reach and hear from because not as many on compared to times gone by but the annoying thing now is a holes that sit on 19 having a chat with burners switched on when its a hailing channel.

Went shopping the other day and pulled over to have a little chat with a guy from Spain and only using 4 watts

We get a couple of old boys in the evening having a natter. I think they must have been doing it for years. The local construction company uses it. Otherwise, nought.

Also in north east just north of Whitby, the moors can be deadly at times.

But you can always get a pint and a game of darts at 'The slaughtered lamb', but when you leave 'stay on the path!'
