a Honda's GX200 4-stroke engine (a typical portable generator engine) generates a Max. output of 4.8 kW (6.5 PS, 6.5 bhp) at 3,600 rpm resulting in a generator power output: 3.4kva / 2700w

The jimny outputs 60 kw at 5,500 rpm,

does anyone know what sort of output a 1300cc Jimny gives at 800 rpm

I tried looking into this before but there are no dyno graphs for the Jimny! I think I worked out at 1000rpm you'd have roughly 10-12hp.

1 issue with using the Jimny as a power unit is the Jimny engine doesn't have a governor. A governor adjusts fueling to maintain the same engine rpm under a changing load, in the same way that we adjust our right foot to keep the speed the same going up a hill as going down it. So, assuming you don't want to be sat in the seat trying to keep the revs steady, you're going to need something to do it for you. The best solution I could come up with was a cheap cruise control kit. They work by trying to maintain a target rpm, same as a governor does.
