The EU may not let you join, as I understand it as a separate country Scotland would no longer be a member so it would have to apply to join. If that's the case and it does join then the rules say that it would have to adopt the Euro, I'm not sure that's a good thing. Most people I know don't want Scotland to break away but if it does then it should be treated as an entirely separate country.

I like Scotland as a holiday destination but it now costs way to much in fuel to drive there last time I went was in the Jimny and it was a great trip.

I haven't read the replies so as to be unswayed. I would like them to go it alone but they really would have to go alone without being propped up with things like ship building contracts then I can feel even more English rather than UK or British or GB etc. And I want out of Europe.

Don't know about the Scots, but, as an Aussie, I'd vote for full independence every day. Can't wait 'til we become a Republic and name our new "Lord High Muckyup" as "The Chief Galah"
