I was once when I bought a car that was already on SORN but it ran out around the time of purchase. Either the previous owner did not do it because he had sold it or I never got a reminder. Either way it cost me £60

Yes, I have dug out the green slip and it is blank so I have filled it in with my name and attached it to the V62. I ticked the first box in section 3 - as if I am a buyer. After all she did tell me at DVLA that his name wold be on the log book as another keeper.
As for the SORN I am going to SORN it at the same time but I do not know when to date it for. I have had the vehicle back for a few weeks so don't know if to date the SORN as the same date as the day I had it back??

When the tax ran out?? But to be safe just date it from now as you are the new keeper lol

Got a letter from the DVLA today to say the log book is being issued on July 8th - result!!

Actually got it yesterday. I suppose that's not too long really in terms of the evolution of the planet. :laugh: :laugh:
