Day 8 - 1st Sep - Saint-Etienne-de-Tinee to Limone Piemonte


6 hours 30 mins on the trail today and their last planned off road day! They hit a lot of trails that went through forests which was nice, a lot of greenery and different mountain scenery. Day 7 - 31st Aug - Briancon to Saint-Etienne-de-Tinee (France)


6 hours on the trail! A great day on the trails today and with some really amazing scenery made up for the closed trails yesterday. Highlights  were an off road tunnel (Tunnel Parpaillon) one of the highest in Europe which is 2,637m above sea level and was built by the French army in 1900. Day 6 - 30th Aug - Sauze di Cesana to Briancon


And its goodbye to Italy and back to France today, they are weaving backwards and forwards across the border over these couple of days. It was 6 hours on the trail today. Unfortunately a few sections were closed due to maintenance works / only accessible for mountain bikes so Redmnd could not do everything he wanted to do today!...

Day 5 - 29th Aug - Tignes to Sauze Di Cesana


So its Au revoir France and Ciao Italia. Over 6 hours of trail today with some more to come. A few more surfaced roads today although the breathtaking views made up for it.
