TPS Sensor was created by Dclark
Good afternoon.

Can anyone confirm if you need to get ant programming done if you swap out a TPS sensor on a 2014 Jimny,

Thank you.

No, the system will learn the new sensor, eventually.

Quick follow on question.

Main dealer has just quoted me £307inc VAT for a TPS sensor.

Off brand ones range from £20 up to £150 and more.

Does anyone have a reccomendation on a good generic brand?

Thank you.

I got a set of 5 off eBay for £30, they work as well!.

I have just checked my purchase history and the ones I bought are not listed at the moment.

Is this the throttle position sensor or the tyre pressure sensor?

Apologies. It is the throttle position sensor.

Then you might want to ask Martin in the shop in the top banner to quote for a genuine one as he is good on price. I wouldn't trust a cheap after market one as there's too many dodgy knock off ones that are cheap for a reason. I'd take a different view if it were a tyre sensor as they are less likely to leave you stranded without options.
