Ok lets see if I have this right.
205.70.15 stock size no rubbing regardless of pattern.
195.80.15 no lift needed for ht or at but mt might catch depending on pattern
215.75.15 needs a minimum of 2 inch lift or mucho arch cutting depending on wheel offset, factory wheels with no spacers ought to be ok with no lift and minor trimming depending on pattern.
235.75.15 needs 3to4 inch of lift and some cutting
31.1050.15 needs 4 plus inch of lift plus some body lift plus some arch cutting.

Bumper design will have a part to play with how much or not has to be trimmed pre 05 needing less post needing more.

Also as we know just because a tyre says the size on the side doesn't follow that another tyre from a different manufacturer with the same size markings will be exactly the same, remanufactured tyres tend to be worse for sizing accuracy.

I can say that with out spacers I run 215/75/15 with no issues or lift.
As soon as I whacked spacers on that was it and lifting didn't do a lot to help the rubbing either so I only done a little cutting at the front and I now need to do a little at the back on the inner arch, the front was just a bit of the lower bumper.

Not been off road yet, so couldn't say what articulation will be like.

Others will be along soon to help and clarify

I done a lot of search on this and found 215/75 will not effect anything like gearing etc

235/75/15 on a 2" suspension lift works okay. If they're remoulds some trimming might be needed.

I run 195 80 15 kumho kl71 mud tyres with no lift, cant say ive noticed any rubbing etc and ive had it pretty flexed.they do get very close tho

Id say they would definately rub with spacers.

would highly recomend them and they get top reviews, there pretty god on the road both in wet or dry and dont seem to have effected economy to much.

I've pretty much decided I'm going to get these tyres, but I will probably fit a small spring spacer lift as well.

good choice i hope your not dissapointed (i know i havent been so far), they coped very well with salisbury plain clay/mud. idiotmobil can give an idependant review from a bystanders perspective as he was there.

went laning yesterday, heres a 5 min vid of a local lane towards the end you can see it flexing as i drive down a bank, the wheel dissapears into the arch pretty well and no rubbing but i dont know how much more it can flex so may rub after that:

maybe you should add a warning that the info is for pre 2005 facelift models as the larger bumper on post 2005 models will result in some rubbing that does not not occur with pre 2005 models

Be interested to know how you get on with the Kumho's I have a 2" spring spacer lift and run wheel spacers and was looking at these next, run Insa AT at the mo and there a bit poor off road.

195 80 kumho's fit a pre 05 with no lift and no spacers. IMO they will NOT fit on a non lifted jimny WITH spacers.

I think they are very good tyres, I believe they came joint 1st with BFG's in some 4x4tyre award :whistle:
