Insurance for my Commercial is due for renewal and when I took delivery last July I found it difficult to get car insurance as it was not on their list of cars and had to pay over £300 for van insurance. Any advice from Forum Members as to who they insure with (everytime I put my Reg No in for a quote Admiral and Saga both reject my Reg No saying its a van and they don't do commercial vehicles.) Help!!

The issue is, that it's a van and registered as such.

l used to use my Transit Connect van as a car, but it still had to be insured as a van.

That's the disadvantage of registering a vehicle as "commercial" to get around emissions rules. lt was the only way Suzuki could keep selling the Jimny in the U.K. though.

The days are numbered for all IC engines, soon it will be electric or nothing.
