If you look at the pictures, at the moment they appear to be photoshopped.
Look at the panel at the rear of the front door bottom and the panel shape around the front grill. Look at the handle stuck on the rear panel
I have no doubt the Chinese copy things but I think that picture is an interpretation and is a photoshopped Jimny
EDIT: and thanks to the wonders of the Google image search......

Just highlights the power of the internet based media these days......24/7 feeds of speculation and spin, you do need to look closely to find the truth.

More a sign of poor journalism, the Australian reporter did zero research and didn't even look at the picture they were publishing

lt might be an artist's impression from the manufacturer.
After all, the Chinese copied the Evoque fairly effectively and l see no reason why they wouldn't try to copy the Jimny.
The Jimny is extremely popular and they would sell all they could manufacture.
That's a total rip off of the Jimny though, l mean it's pretty much identical. lf it's actually true, l imagine Sukuki's lawyers will be sharpening their pencils.

As Martin has pointed out, "the rear door handle" appears dubious and if they are proposing a 5 door on the w/base of the Jimny, then structural integrity will be suspect. Maybe on a long wheelbase?

The lads in China couldn't give fiddlers. They will have copied the pencils by the time the meeting is over. I had a guy tell me a story of Chinese guys who came to visit a factory and wore shoes with some kind of glue on the souls so they could analyse the steel filings the guys were using in the factory. Could be rubbish.lt might be an artist's impression from the manufacturer.

4 seats, 3 locking diff's, turbo engine, updated head unit, no anti collision BS fitted. That's WIN WIN WIN. Where do I sign.
