Not seen anything on the forum about the proposed new E10 fuel in the UK. I'm guessing my 1999 engine will be knackered by it as the RAC are saying any vehicle older than 2002 will be affected.

I had heard about this, same situation for me - 1999 G13B engine might take a bit of a hit with this, if this and other articles are anything to go by.

Funnily enough I just noticed last night that my Gen4 fuel filler cap lists both E5 and E10. Hadn't noticed the proposal to move the UK to E10.

Thank you Martin. I've just read about this in the news, had a little panic as I've just sold a 2003 car to drive my 2000 Jimny daily and then that news!

I can rest easy now then!

Martin,

excuse my ignorance but who confirmed it and is there any chance we can see said confirmation.

I have an elderly father that is concerned about my 2004 Jimny and is being stubborn about my "She'll be alreet" attitude :)

Cheers

It's written in your Jimny handbook on page 1-1
"Belnds of unleaded petrol and ethanol are commercially available in some areas. Blends of this type may be used in your vehicle if they are no more than 10% ethanol."
