Simple question of anyone who has converted to vented front braking. Which specific model and age of vitara do the calipers come from. Secondly are the rotors compatible with the later 108mm bore hubs.

Thanks in advance.

Nice one. I assume that the only second hand part is the caliper hanger, the rest is available new?

Or if you wanna feel safe, you buy new brake parts friends. It's not so expensive.

I bought everything new for an SJ. Five door Vitara 92-98 -ish. brackets and all.

With the Vitara calipers you will get the bleed niple on the side, so you will have too loosen the caliper and turn the bleed vent up to get the air out of it..

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.

If it's available new it will be new, if it's available high performance it will be. Not cutting corners with the brake system.

Something else to consider with vit calipers, is they are larger so clearance and wheel size my be an issue dependant on your setup.
My jim ran vit calipers on the rear when i got it, i swopped them out for jimny fronts. The vit cal[pers (even with new carriers with the correct grease. In fact i tried various different types of grease in the end) kept seizing up.
Never had that with the jimny ones. I have to unbolt them and sit them on top of the disc should i need to bleed them due to the location of the bleed nipple. but they don't give me any issues.

It's been fettled just a tad.

Could you get a decent machine shop to drill jimny discs?
