Who would want a "Grander" Jimny? was created by Cakir
Who among you the Jimny lovers without a compromise from the outstanding off road capabilities

If Suzuki

1. stretches the car 30 cm, widens it 10 cm, increases the clearance by 6 cm and 4 cm from the top
2. drops a 1.5 DDIS, 1.6 (M16A) or 1.9 DDIS engine
3. mounts 215 or 225 R16 70 tyres
4. adds a passanger half door like on FJ Cruiser
5. adds SRS curtain airbags, steel bars in front doors and extra steel roll bars for safety
6. names it "Grand Jimny"

would wanna buy it?

:)

That isn't the Jimny, it is the Chinese Jonway A280. A Jimny knock-off with some interesting features and a very very low price.

Here's a better picture of the Jonway A280 plus some other Jonway vehicles.

Whaat?

I've never seen it before! Well as you know these guys love to imitate real cars and / or blend traits from them, but this doesn't mean that I don't want a bigger Jimny from the real producer...

Is there any way that Suzuki can stop these guys?.. Wouldn't it be design infringement? Please do make a bigger Jimny for us and I believe it would scoop a real great market share from many non real 4x4 so crossovers....

There was a Top Gear episode about the Chinese reverse engineering well known cars and totally copying them, like the BMW X5. When BMW tried to sue the Chinese totally ignored them as the cars were only sold in China and basically told them to shove it!!!

That I can see... And probably you are right :(. But I would have liked one from Suzuki not from someone else :(

If Suzuki decides to produce some modern looking prototypes whose pictures can be seen on the web, it would seem to me it doesn't see this segment and / or this design any more useful (just maybe because it's not profitable)

That's true they can not sell many of these cars out of China... But still that wouldn't make my design of a Grander Jimny less useful and less attractive. Would it. I would like to pay a handsome amount if it were available

I think the length and width of this car is the same as the original Jimny's. It is meaningless with 4 doors. We need the extra cargo space behind that's why we are stretching it, and extra comfort inside and that's why are widening it....

You should check the dims on my drawing I guess

There are plenty of larger 4x4's out there the success of the jimny is its size why would you want to alter that ?
Just buy a vitara if you want something a bit bigger
