Thanks. It's the abs Les linked to. My marking out of the bolt holes is a bit off and one of the rivnuts has spun but otherwise I like it.

Took it to get an MOT (see attached)… best start saving up.

Once I get it back I think it would be good to put some rust protect underneath.

Took it for a MOT, which it passed with no advisories, same as last year, hurrah!

I get the local garage to service it first, but apart from oil and filter there wasn't any other parts required, again same as last year.

After much deliberation and the application of the mitutoyo(sp) calipers I have forsaken the jaw and pin towing apparatus in favour of an alko one. The main reason for having the plough, sorry, jaw and pin was to match the drawbar height of my twin axle trailer but with it now having new suspension and by utilising the inbuilt tolerance in the actual tow bar on the car I have got the height difference to within 5mm so that should work. What this also means is that the departure angle is very very much improved. Winner winner chicken dinner.

I've improved my rearward clearance by about 10 degrees while retaining the ability to tow a trailer.

Took my partners Jimny for its MOT today and it failed on a few things, some similar to Pete’s above.    It included under body corrosion near body mountings, brake pipes, a ball joint on the drop link, and a failed lambda sensor.  It may be the end for the Jimny this time but have posted details elsewhere at this   Link  including a query about the suggested need for continuous welding of patch repairs on body panels for which I’d appreciate ideas.

Today I have been thoroughly cleaning Temeraire and touching up the damage to the waxoyl. Ready for the salt.
