wheel size?? was created by adam
Hello all, at the moment I have 15" alloys with 205-70 a/t tyres. I'm thinking of getting some 16" wheels, is this a good or bad idea? If its a good idea, where's best to get them? Ebay? My jim is lifted 2" with pro comps oh and I have 30mm wheel spacers too if any of that helps!!

all depends what tire height n width you want as to which tires are cheaper/easier to come by

iv got 16's as i wanted 235/85/16 (land rover size) so are very easy to come by and 20 quid cheaper each compared to 15" equivalent

i got my wheels off ebay

lots of people use grand vitara steels as they can be picked up cheapish

Thanks Adam, basically I just feel that since I lifted it, it could do with bligger looking wheels.
I had a look on ebay at some vitara wheels, yeah there is a few, gonna wait until some come up close to me! :)

Hello Jimny Owners,

I'm currently running on standard alloy wheels (15x5.5 5/139.7 ET 5) with 205/70R15 Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S G012 tyres. I'd like to swap them to 195/80R15 Kumho Road Venture MT KL71 tyres with black steel wheels. I could find new 15x7 ET 0 steel wheels only for my budget (max 50 GBP/each) but I'm not sure will they stick out from wheel arches or not. Does anyone have an idea will it look good? In theory 7" wheels with ET 0 will stick out 24mm and need 14mm more space towards suspension relative to factory wheels (based on a web calculator). Any picture from sidewise?

Sorry for my rubbish grammar skills. ;)

Why not get some second hand standard steel wheels and paint them black.

If you wanted a professional finish have them blasted and powder coated.

Selling your alloys will get some of the cost back.
