Two of the three buttons on mine failed, they would just make contact on their own. I took the switch module apart and found a small PCB with three little push switches soldered on.
I couldn’t find any suitable push switches to replace he faulty ones, shame as it would have been a five minute job to replace them with a soldering iron, so I bought a complete second hand switch unit from a scrap yard on eBay and just replaced the whole unit.

I think I paid £25 for mine from either Bradford 4x4 or B&B breakers.
If I could get the switches (they would only be a couple of quid) I could repair my old one and you could have that, it would work out cheaper.
I just disconnected mine when it went last Xmas until the replacement arrived, it just stayed in 2WD but that was okay for a few days.

I have found some switches on eBay that might be the right size to go on the PCB. Do you want me to repair my old switch unit or did you get sorted?

Even if you go freewheeling hubs the transfer box might go between 2WD, 4WD and 4WD-L, the last would be a real problem.
If it’s not the switch unit, then it might be the wiring or hopefully not the 4WD controller as they are difficult to find and expensive.

Free wheeling hubs definitely aren't a fix for this issue!
