Hi folks, new to the world of Jimny ownership, having been wanting to get one for some time. I have just bought a 2009 SZ4 auto in Quasar Grey, with 56k on the clock and a full service history, manuals and two keys. It's in pretty good condition overall (not showroom) but could do with a few little fixes like new headlight glass etc. It also has a new Pioneer touchscreen media system and door speakers that the previous owner had fitted 9 months ago, which saves me the job! What can I say, this is such a fun car to drive about in, it puts a big smile on my face. It's more for my other half to drive than me (hence the auto) but I can see myself driving this a lot. I'm not an off-roader, but I live in the middle of nowhere in the Cornish countryside so you never know! I guess I'll be falling down the rabbithole of mods, wheels and after-market stuff now

Edit: One other observation - in spite of very basic adjustability the seats are really comfortable!

Welcome to the forum. Quasar grey is the best colour, in my slightly bias opinion.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.
Bellerophon (2024 grello van daily

A great choice of vehicle for the Cornish countryside. Whenever we visit Cornwall from Weston super Mare in our Gen 4 Jimny we love exploring the narrow lanes. The more grass growing up the middle the better!
If we take our Mazda CX5 we always regret it. Too wide!

Glad you are loving your Jimny. I bought my first (2011) in 2019 and still love driving my second one (2020) 6 years later.

A number of mods make it more capable off road, but even more make it a better/more personalised car on the road, so mod away.
