Thanks Gaz, I like the challenge of making stuff up myself I just need to get more competent with a welder as I don’t trust my welds for things that are going to be taking this much strain, I end up tacking things like the winch mount and rock sliders together and having a mate weld them fully.

I have not had much to update recently, I have mainly been out having fun in the Jimny (including getting stuck for about 2 hours green laning this weekend, the wife was not impressed :S )
However today I finished up my radius arm protection, I went a slightly different route to most you see as I am a cheapskate and didn’t want to go out and buy longer bolts, so using some steel I had kicking around I made the below, they will attach directly to the chassis above the radius arm mounts with some large self tapping screws appose to using the bolts to hold them in place.
Not the tidiest welding but it does the job
my next investment is a gas regulator so I can use gas when welding a get a cleaner weld, this flux wire spits all over the place.

Cheers Mark, i was on a lane near bluebell hill, i had stuck to lanes I knew as i was on my own but found a new one that would join 2 up without going the long way on the road. I should hav known better. It was getting to the point where I was thinking about calling you then luckily 6 guys on mx bikes turned up and they were able to help along with the winch, thank god I fitted it
Cheers Gaz, in the last pic they at painted, I just used some white paint I had left over from painting my shocks.
