Indeed I don't expect to keep it shiny for long but I surely will take good care of her lol.
And I find it stupid those side bars and bull bar that are supposed to protect the car in difficult roads while in fact you need to remove them...

Am I right in thinking that in Belgium you have to be very careful about any modifications you make as your country is very strict? Infact I think you have to pay extra tax for even the very limited changes you can make. A French friend who lives in Belgium has his Samurai registered in France for that very reason.

Yes we have to pay more for the roadworthiness tests if the car is modified because it is considered as a tuned car, and a lot of modifications are not authorized. They even made a website where they explain what is authorized and what is not:

Seeing as your looking to make her offroad worthy, are you going to be adding ground clearance by removing that front bar ..? I've been looking for one for a long time.
