Probably nearer a litre if not just over. Suzuki seem to have no idea how to measure volumes.
I ended up running out to buy an extra can when I did the gearbox and transfer on mine, so I bought an extra litre over the book when I did the axle oil, and used most of it.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The "correct" way is to add the volume of oil in the book, stick the bung in and drive off.
Then when you check the oil at the service, you add extra until it just starts to drip out, i.e. reaches the threads in the filler hole.
So I just miss out a step and fill it until it starts to come out, as that is how I would have checked it, but I got a lot more in than the handbook said, with the price of 75/90 synthetic I bought exactly enough.
Not too happy with the synthetic, it won't go into 1st easily when it is cold, I'm sure it used to before

Transfer box, I think so.
Gearbox probably not, I can't remember, because
I use an oil syringe from Machinemart
www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/detai...l-transfer-equipment
I dare say eBay would throw up something similar.
makes topping up gearboxes and axles very easy.
(I use it on my 'bike too, I made a hollow dipstick from brake pipe and a brass bush, just overfill and then suck the oil back out through the tube until it stops sucking, then the level is spot on)
