hi again everyone what is the best way to lock the original hubs to on, if the vacuum is not putting them on cheers karl

take each one off (6 torx bolts), and unlock the inside coller (Martin has an article about it).
Then replace.
Takes about 20 minutes to do.

cheers mate, take it they just stay on then you dont have to put a bolt in to it then. they'll only dissengage if you open it up again

I believe so mine havnt dis-engaged since I manually locked them 3 months ago.. if your unsure, just disconnect the vac pipe from the actuators under the battery.
I have manual hubs and a spacer ready to be fitted, but I havnt had time to overhaul them.

You will need an E10 torx socket to remove the bolts;)

cheers evryone all sorted, wasted some time tying to find the actual fault , thought i'd sorted it and then it packed up again, so then just decided to lock them on and disengage the vacuum. looks like it might be the vsv2 solenoid /wiring thats being the pain. had all vac pipes off and blew through with air line no leaks, and everything clear. never mind eh.
