I’ve had my 2010 Jimny for 6 months and have hit my first problem.
Engine management light came on, code is PO403 EGR Circuit Malfunction.
Tried clearing it but it came back a short time later.
Everything points to an electrical problem, probably with the solenoid?
It seems like a right pain to change the entire EGR valve. Does anyone know if it’s possible to just change the solenoid section? It looks to be held in place by 4 screws and much easier to access.
The last egr valve I dealt with which was years ago now was clogged up and responded to being cleaned, I'm struggling to remember how difficult it was to do but it was worth the effort to remove it whole.
