Front Caliper Slide Bush was created by Soeley
I changed my front pads today. I noticed one slide bush on each side was blue, see picture below.
The other was shiny silver like I'd expect. Any reason for this?
All the old pads still had 3mm left down to the wear groove. All worn evenly to the eye, about 0.5mm out to the verniers. None of the sliders felt to be sticking.

I bought some proper brake grease this time. I've always used copper grease in the past. Been told the proper stuff is much better water resistant and won't wash off.
If all the bushes had been blue, I wouldn't have given it a thought. But just one on each side made me wonder if it was done on purpose?
It didn't wash off with brake cleaner. To me it looked like the kind of blue you get with heat treatment.
It doesn't concern me, just curious.
