Hi all,
First time posting here but have used the threads before and love the community.
I have a very weird issue with my 1998 SN413 G13BB Jimny. Recently the fuel economy started to go down and I suspected the coil packs to be the issue. After taking some resistance measurements of the NGK U4008 coil packs that are in the car, one of the packs had extremely high resistance measurements between the positive to trigger signal and positive to ground.
I bought two brand new genuine NGK U4008's and put them in the car, no start, no spark.
Weird thing is that if that one specific old coil pack is in the car with the high resistance measurements, then you can put any other combination of old or new pack in and the car will run. I've double check the trigger signal from the ECM to the coil packs using an oscilloscope and all looks ok.
Tried a brand new CMP sensor which didn't change anything.
I've taken all the continuity and voltage readings under the sun and couldn't find anything obviously wrong.
A6 and A19 are with reference to the pins on the ECM.
Ideas???
