Questions for the Techperts

Apparently VW Tiguans actually stand on the brakes and do the hazards & horn thing at 70mph in the outside lane of a motorway.
(If you have a VW in front, leave a bit more gap...)
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

I remember that! When you go round a bend so that the car thinks it is aiming at road furniture it trigger the collision warning and then the brakes.Could this be the camera thing, detecting a possible crash so applies the brakes. That is a known issue under certain conditions?

Is the brake interference just a passenger version thing then or does it only fire if you don't react to it turning the dashboard red and screaming at you?
