Hello everyone,
My girlfriends 2001 M13A engine jimny has decided not to start anymore,
She parked it then went to move about 15 minutes later and it started but then dropped revs then stalled, it then wouldn't start at all.
So towed it back, managed to get it bump started after a few attempts at the end of a 20min tow and it stayed running until i stupidly turned it off
Its turns over fine just doesnt start, or even try and start on the starter

Things I have checked:
Battery is good
Immobiliser light stays on and doesn't flash
fuses all good
replaced spark plugs, no damaged to old ones
checked spark against engine, got spark cranking over
fuel to the rail, haven't yet tested coming out injectors, but dont really know how
injector resistance all 12.9ohm
spark plugs weren't wet after cranking but smelt of fuel
inlet air temp sensor is good
coolant temp sensor is good
when plugging into with OBD reader I get rpm signal, and no codes, but  read somewhere some don't always show up
it sounded a bit lumpy turning over (cant remember if it sounded like this before) so changed the starter
engine is grounded
basic compression test done with my finger in the hole, need to find my gauge to test properly
visual inspection of wires and connectors looks good, I am going to test continuity of everything when I can get a hand from someone
it needed a new crank position sensor last year which did throw a code and was solved with the new sensor

I will be trying a new cam and crank sensor when they arrive in the next few days

Anything else can try? any silly things that like to go wrong on Jimnys?

I appreciate any help

Ben

This may sound stupid, after all your in depth checking, but have you checked the battery and voltage with a multimeter ? Is the alternator charging correctly when you manage to get it running ?
If the battery is down below 12 volts, it might not have enough to start it .
