T'isn't going so well!

A couple of weekends ago , my daughters jimny dumped its coolant and the EML came on .  She parked it up and got in the spare jimny.
As I only have weekends to do stuff, it has been a long process. On inspection I found a leak at the bottom of the radiator. A new one was duly ordered and delivered tuitsuite.  So the next weekend the rads were swapped over, but it turns out that the leak may have been from the bottom hose on the top running back to rad ....errrr schoolboy error should have swapped both at sometime .
This weekend was spent mostly on my back at a stables in the rain only to find that I couldn't get the clamp at the engine side off, it had been put on from the top under the alternator.
As the spare is due tax and insurance maybe the local chap can swap the hose .........it was / is just a drip and it's only a few miles home ...
So new coolant , left to tick over , system bled , heater works ...good to go....
except once driving the coolant got up to normal , but when stationary in traffic and no airflow the EML flickered even though it was still on and the car shook...the expansion bottle had thrown it teddy out and left the mountings , the car seemed to have turned in to boxer type exhaust note .
In a last vain hope of there being some good will upstairs I swapped the rad caps from the spare jimny  ( which is the same GB13bb engine) with this attention seeker one .    Sadly same result!

Its the head gasket isn't it?

Yeah sounds like it. Not what you need I'm sure. What was the EML code?

still not going to plan. At the weekend having had another go at sussing the issue ( don't have a code reader at the moment , but either way the ability to retain cooling is a prerequisite)
Filled  up the system using snake oil (K-seal , which I used to great success on an estima and it's still running fine ) run it up , warm up ..all good , trip round the block bout 3 miles , no overheating ...no juddering  ...lifted the bonnet ...there seemed to be coolant everywhere ....was it from previous steaming off?...nothing around rad cap....looking underneath , there's coolant dripping from the offside rear of engine , closer inspection shows starter motor saturated.   Engine off ...few minutes rad cap off ..no pressure ..but empty..
Refill system, drive around again ,   Aha the heater hose from the the block is spurting a thin stream out .
My question is, to change this pipe on the GB13 engine am I going to have to take off the inlet manifold etc or can it be got from underneath?
Do we have a part number for this hose ?
Its character building right?
