need some help! Going to use the front fog light wiring to run a Extra rear reverse light , got the switch fitted to the loom, but the light in the switch works when you enable it, but no output from the connector in the engine? Guess the relay is missing, where would it be? ( Fitted the fuse )

Possibly no help at all but posted In the spirit of trying to help.
In a 2009 its the fuse box under the bonnet, strangely I can't determine which relay is switching using my stethoscope and reluctant to start pulling things out as it works (don't mess with a runner). If 2003 / 2009 have same fuse box hopefully you cs spot the missing relay in the photo.

First - there's like a 99% probability that the relay was never fitted, if the fog lights were never fitted, the switch & the relay aren't going to be fitted either.

Second - the front fog light wiring goes to the front of the car, and the reverse lights are usually at the rear, making the front fog light wiring a poor choice to "re-purpose".

It would be a lot simpler to tap into the existing reverse light wiring which is already at the rear of the car, and unless you're attempting to run something like a 50w fog/spot light as a reverse light, will be more than capable of handling the load.

Personally, if I were fitting an additional reverse light, I'd be using a small LED lamp, probably no more than 18W or thereabouts.

As far as I can tell, based on the wiring diagram connector layouts, if the relay is fitted, it'll be under the dash.

I got the impression from your first post, that you were attempting to re-purpose the front fog light wiring to run a reverse light, and in the process of doing so, you had fitted the switch and couldn't get it to work - is that correct?

What I said earlier about the choice of wiring will still hold true, even if you choose to switch the light independently.

You might want to check vehicle lighting legislation wherever you are on the legality of independently switched reverse lights, I suspect having a rear facing white light on whilst the vehicle is being driven may be "frowned upon".

Incidentally - the front fogs on my car are switched by what was once the rear fog light switch - front fogs were not an option in my market, rear fogs were, the vehicle came with neither, but I purchased the switch, fitted it and reused nothing from the wiring other than the connector that the switch plugged into - sort of the reverse of what you're attempting to do.

I'd suggest if you don't have the know how to build your own reverse light harness, that you buy an aftermarket spot or fog light harness and adapt that to suit your needs. I'd also suggest that you "tie" it in to the existing reverse light wiring so that you can have the additional light off when the original reverse lights are on, but it cannot come on when they are off - something that can be done by adding one switch and the necessary wire.
