Welcome to the forum. As with a lot of things you have to be confident that the repair has been completed to a good standard, this is often not the case with mot welding as carried out by a none professional vehicle restoration workshop. Often the local garage repair is only really good for the mot in question, patch repairs are not going to last as long as panel replacement ones. I would be wary. And I would keep looking for a cleaner example.

I wouldn’t so much walk away as I would run from that. There are hints of blobs of weld but it's all smeared in black goo so you can't actually see what is going on. Find something else, even if it's a bit more expensive.

I will be running with Lambert.
What you have in the photo is a "give it an MOT" repair. The repair may last a year or two, maybe longer, but it's going to be a problem again eventually. If the vehicle is cheap enough and you are happy to accept issues later on then it may be good for you.
Me - I would keep looking for a better repair standard or a better base vehicle.
Good luck in your search or with the new Jimny

That black gunk is horrible. KAP Suzuki did this to mine when I first had some bits worked on. That was 2 years ago.
This summer just gone, I had to rip it all out as it was a complete bodge job. The black gunk literally keeps the metal in place, and is good for an MOT and nothing long term. Here's a picture of what I had to remove to fix the problem I had in that same area you have pictured:
I suspect that Jimny will have bad corrosion in all the main places, but little patches like that won't go even close to what is needed.
