Depending on how you drive innit? I'm sure if you babied it you would probably get away with an ls at least for a while. Same as going oversized on the tyres, the 1.3 will then kill the clutch for a laugh. There's a reason most of the really high mileage examples are fairly standard; Suzuki designed to whole system to work reliably with itself.

the m18a is a popular swap, the drive train seems to handle it just fine. just stay on top of your maintenance

Huge tyres and huge power/torque, it won't like that. There is a guy in Iceland Holmarh on here who is on a v6 with 35s but he has Toyota axles and many other modifications.

On standard tyres the Jimny drivetrain can probably reliably handle 150hp. But with 35 inch tyres there's no chance! It's easy enough to break things with 31s and a 1.3.
What gearing are you running?
