I have a set of yoko muds 205 80 16, on the 7x16 wheels, I had no problem fitting them.

Thanks Baz, that's good to know and is probably the route I will have to go down given how hard it is to find narrower rims!

This is a 195/80/16 7" rim
It doesn't offer much rim protection
Why don't after market wheels come with rim widths like they used in the 80's

205/80/16 is equivalent to a 205/16 as the aspect ratio when not stated is 82.The recommended rim for this is 6J with limits of 51/2J -61/2J

Because when it comes to driving off-road all anyone seems to think is that bigger must be better. I don't think many people think beyond "what's the biggest .... I can fit".
