Strange noise at low gears

Hi i have strange noise when im on 1st or 2nd gear and i give it a lot of gas (seems torque related)
At first my thoughts where maybe old shocks making noise or a transfer mount or motor mount making noise but i have replaced the shocks and checked all the mounts and they are all ok. Now im thinking or it coming from something clutch related? Maybe? The noise it’s been there for ages now and it doesn’t affect the car at all just annoying when im of a green light in a hurry

Mine made A Noise when revved hard in 1st & second. Sort of a buzzy screechy groaning, I thought it was a dry bearing in the gearbox. I couldn't find anything external- checked the exhaust heatshield etc.

Eventually, the noise completely stopped when the crankshaft pulley fell apart. :ohmy: Would have been ok but the belts obviously came off as there was nothing to drive them and I had to stop and get the Nice Man from the AA to recover it when the temperature gauge went off the clock :evil:

Check the crankshaft pulley, by trying really really hard to push & pull the outer rim off- there should not be any noticeable movement.

It could be several things. It doesn't sound like a slipping transfer chain that would be faster. Could be a prop shaft uj? Or rear engine/gearbox mount?
