Brake pipe and union size was created by paradox1001
Hi guys I’ve my mot due soon and I suspect at least an advisory on my rigid brake lines.
What size is the pipe and unions and what sort of flare is used?
Apart from sized unions is there anything else I should be aware of that may trip me up when it comes to replacing them?

I used 3/16th pipe and 11mm fittings as I have a stock of such together with a basic flare tool. I understand that there is a special shape flare for most Japanese cars but as I used copper it just conformed as it was tightened. Works fine.

Is that m11 x1 fittings lambert and are they short or long?
I’ve 3/16th copper pipe on the shelf but only m10x1 short fittings.
I take it it’s a single flare not a double?

I just used what I had as it happened to fit. It's all old stuff from my land rover days including the horseshoe flare tool. Nothing was bought specifically for the Jimny m

Any chance you could stick a picture up of the type of fitting you used and a pic of the flare please?
I’ve just done the lines on my camper van
Being German it uses a bubble flare and I’m unsure if the fittings and flaring tool I have are suitable
