The transmission oil cooler can be changed for a larger one, which adds cooling not only because of the bigger finned area but also because of the additional transmission fluid in the system required.
Rhino Ray has some experience running much bigger tyres on an auto, so he is perhaps the man to talk to.
My reading has led me to believe that the transmission fluid temperature is the key factor, so fitting a bigger cooler will solve all issues and make for a reliable auto transmission with bigger tyres.
Having said that, 215/75/15 tyres are not that big and with regular ATF changes you could be ok.

Thanks Kirkynut.
This makes sense for an auto running big wheels.
Considering my own usage which will be mainly road with occasional soft lane/field it looks like I will be looking for smaller tyres than the 225/70 on it at the moment.
Think I just need to decide between 195/80 and 205/70

"limited easy off-road"... I would pick up a bargain set of almost new 195/80R15 people are flogging from their gen 4's.

Having seen videos of what can be overcome using the "as fitted " tyres, I agree.

Thanks Steve, you have confirmed my thoughts.
It's not urgent but will look out for a set as you suggest.
