Wheel arch trim removal was created by Don76
Hello all

My passenger side exterior plastic wheel arch trim is coming away from the wing at the top. Leaving a slight gap between the seal and wing. I notice in the store that new clips can be purchased. Apologies if there is already a guide somewhere but I can’t find one. Any tips on the removal and refitting of the wheel arch trim.

Thanks in advance. :)

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThese work just fine

There is no easy way to remove
you can just rip it off but you may damage the arch where the clips fit
I removed the inner arch cover then used pliers on the wings of the clips press and push motion
some you just have to pull the arch away nice and steady :)

when re fitting put the clips on the arch first then push on to the wing

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI am wondering if this type of tool would do the trick. I have one and use it on just about all trim clips though I have not used it on Jimny arches.

I do agree that getting behind these clips and squeezing while pushing is a good approach.

Beat me to it. Those are great for clips but if you are against a painted surface a single layer wrap of masking tape helps prevent scratches.

LOL

On my Mitsys there is a different system which reminds me of certain types of kitchen cupboard catches and the clips just pull away as you pull the arch away; that makes them reusable too.
