Normally on headlights, if you have 2 adjusters one is up/down adjustment & the other is left/right.
If you are turning one and it seams to make no difference its probly the left/right one. It only changes
the angle a little in this direction. I have not looked at the Jimny ones but this has been the case on
other vehicles that I have owned. Hope that is of some help.

Thanks for the info. So just to confirm the interior switch which moves the beam up and down according to the load in the car - would this affect the aim for the MOT? I've moved the beam upwards with it but don't want to look stupid by taking it back for the third time and still failing
Thanks
Thanks

What did they say to the angle of the light when they failed it ? Was it too high ?

With the switch on 0 the lights should be in normal position for everyday use + MOT.
the other settings lower the beam when you have a heavy load in the back so the lights don't
dazzle other road users.

They said it was too low.
I can't say for sure because I didn't look at the switch before I fiddled with it yesterday but I'm pretty sure it wasn't on 0 during the test. Could that be all the problem is then?
Judging by what Allan is saying it seems to make sense. I'd have thought the MOT man would have looked for the switch inside the car though as he was keen to sort it out so he didn't have to fail it.
Allan did you manage to get to Crowborough in the end?

If the switch was not on 0 it would be to low for the test. I am not sure but the tester is not to adjust things during the test but many will, just depends on the day. Its like when they fail it for washers not working and all it needs is a bit of water.
I have a mate that tests mine so he will cut me a little slack.
As for your other question, yes just added a YouTube vid.
