Fluid seeping from rear of engine .... was created by shiponthewater
I have found this plate (see attached photo) at the rear of my G13BB engine,
just above the transmission,
there is obviously some fluid weeping from it,
fluid feels like water rather than oil,
what is the plate covering etc...
I know I have a slow coolant leak somewhere, could this be it ?
many thanks ...

The plate covers the back of the cooling gallery in the head. The leak will be coolant.
