Are your talking about this www.auszookers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=23086&start=30 ?
The poster in that is using an analog to digital converter circuit to take the analog TPS signal and convert it to the required pwm signal for the TCM thus allowing the AW4 to be run behind any engine of your choosing. Unfortunately the thread is a little light on the details.
I'm unsure whether the TPS From the M series ECU is PWM or a serial data connection, the service manual doesn't seem to state either way. The G series manual states you can check the voltage of the TPS line using a voltmeter and the voltage should be around 12v with the throttle closed and decrease as the throttle is opened. This would be a simple enough check to carry out to see how your TPS signal behaves.
Mechanically it looks like the jimny auto bellhousing is removable, if it wont directly bolt to the AW4 a decent machine shop should be able to make either an adapter or make it fit directly but you'll need to make sure the torque converter will fit.

Or you could do away with the TCM altogether........

That is the thread I was referring to for the board that was created to handle the TPS inputs. Like you, I would like to see a little more detail but I would also like to know if it was ever successfully tested. I don't usually post on that forum but think I will ask for an update. My understanding is that the Jimny is a PWM signal but that is something I can easily verify.

Thanks for all of your comments and feedback.

I started out with nothing & still have most of it left
